Twisted Knights

Twisted Knights, the combined talents of sisters Jenna and Lucie Knight, are firmly making there mark on the music industry. Fast becoming an incredible addition to any line up, their abilities are never ending behind the decks. Consider the fact that they have been doing this for 18 months, it makes you wonder just how good these two are likely to get…

DJ Academy trained in 2007, their first career decision was to enter the internationally recognised Movida Corona DJ Competition. The skills learnt at the academy and natural confidence took them as far as the regional finals, and instilled a driving ambition to improve. The recognition by promoters following the competition landed them gigs at some formidable clubs across the whole country.‘Crobar’ in Swansea, ‘Q Club’ 'Air','Rainbow Warehouse' and the unique ‘Custard Factory’in birmigham plus many more.

2009 has been a hugely successful year for the girls so far, having become residents for newly established Birmingham Record label ‘Blocbeatz’, playing alongside fidget and electro house superstars including Bass Kleph, Stupid Fresh and Will Bailey.

In addition to being key figures on the fidget circuit, they have taken their talents and broadened their horizons to other genres of underground music, most notably techno and progressive house. Taking inspiration from pioneering legends like Richie Hawtin, Joris Voorn and James Zabiela, the next step in their already blossoming career is to delve into production.

Producers have been queuing up to get them into the studio to pick their brains, and nothing would please them more than to show like minded music lovers what they are made of and press some vinyl that will get some heads nodding, and highlighting the fact they have an ear for music of all genres: showing just what makes the Twisted Knights so upfront and unique.

Anyone who has witnessed the atmosphere explode when these two play will all tell you the same; They take the room by storm. They play the most warped and electrifying sounds your ears will ever be able to handle. You will be able to hear for yourself the dirtiest mind bending tracks mixed with such raw and untapped skill.

Darren C
Darren started spinning Hard Edged Funky Grooves at the tender age of 17 quickly building up contacts within the Music industry. The first gigs played were a string of small Clubs/Bars and illegal parties in my hometown Hereford. Darren then formed further contacts within the industry and sent a demo tapes further afield across the UK. Darren managed to get a demo tape to Laurence Malice of Trade, Trade being known as the most prolific breeding ground for today’s big DJs... Laurence immediately called Darren in person because of the Excellent Demo he had received and invited Darran to play as a Guest in the Trade Test Lounge. After playing at nearly every Trade Test Lounge I decided Darren wanted a part of the action closer to home, so in turn went down to Infamous in Bristol armed with Demos... Ben Davis the promoter loved the music & was then made the Infamous resident playing every month. Since then Darren's DJ career has progressed with sets across the UK including Bournemouth Birmingham, Reading & Cardiff.
